My move to France and my 70th birthday happened around the same time. As I adjusted to living in an actual foreign country, I was also adjusting to what writer May Sarton described as the foreign country of old age.

They each have their moments.

I write about life in both countries and, for the most part, try to find the humour. . .better to laugh than cry. I also write about eczema, which I've had my whole life, and anything else that might pop into my head.

At 68, I started a new chapter in my life: I moved to France. Alone. It turned out to be quite the page-turner. Still is — even when age insists on a part.
