Another interesting story, Sarah. I love reading takes on life in foreign countries. Lot's of things in France, I still have to remind myself to do--like saying Bonjour in shops before I plunge right into asking for what I want. Also the round of bonjours in doctors' offices, although I've noticed younger people often don't do that--perhaps because they're usually glued to their phones.
