At a certain point in life, I think this is an excellent attitude.

… that I’m further along. Either way, I can barely see much farther ahead than where I am right now. No long-term projects, no great ambition, no “bucket list.” If I want anything, I don’t count on getting it, and whether I get “it” or not seems to be equally O.K.

At a certain point in life, I think this is an excellent attitude. Not that we no longer have energy and enthusiasm, just that the pressure to become something is no longer there.
