Damn, I just wrote a fairly lengthy response to your piece, looked back at your story and the whole damn response disappeared.

I can't recapture it all--I did ask though whether you thought some publications are better than others. I submit to about half a dozen and I'm always analysing how my well stories do in specific pubs. Of course, the story makes a difference too.

Don't really have any helpful advice other than that, keep at it though, things will turn around.
