Excellent article summing up the reasons why Medium is a great place to write. I share your opinion.

But, mea culpa, I also wrote a story earlier this month about changes on Medium and a sharp drop in earnings--I, too, didn't join with the expectation, or even thought, of making money. I'm a writer for god's sake, who makes money from writing?

It was therefore a pleasant surprise when my earnings steadily increased and then a cause for concern when they very suddenly, dropped. Since it also occurred around the time of a new CEO I wondered, as others apparently did, whether this was the writing (no pun intended) on the wall.

I do know that regardless of earnings, I will keep writing on Medium for as long as it's around. I enjoy having a community of writers, some who have also become friends. Apologies for going on at length, but thanks for a great read.
