I agree. I'm 77 and just this morning it occurred to me that my surroundings look a bit like those of a college freshman-- all the posters (Polish, some quite bizarre) in my garret, as I like to call it, are held up with thumb tacks, my clothes are piled on the bedroom floor and I have books scattered everywhere. I quite like it that way.
