I feel compelled to respond to this because it was reading one of your posts last November that prompted me to start writing on Medium. You'd warned not to expect that anyone would read a new writer's stories for a least a year. I took that to heart and just started writing and publishing, not really expecting any response. I now have 1.5k followers and can honestly say that Medium has been a great experience for me--I have an outlet for my writing and I've met some great people from all over the world who now feel like friends.

I've heard people who've been on Medium for several years say that the platform is not what it used to be--I have no way of knowing that. All I can say, and would say, to new writers is give it a try--you might be pleasantly surprised. I wish you the best of luck with whatever approach to decide to take.
