I found marketing and publicity which those on the less exalted rungs of the publishing padded (very close to the bottom) were expected to do, exhausting and not always rewarding —and that was with a major publisher behind me. I admire your commitment and dedication, Jill, and wish you the very best.
PS. If you do book signings in a mall, don’t lose it when the fifth person in a row asks you where the restrooms are.
