I had my right hip replaced in July, Debbie, and I'm almost completely back to normal--in fact better because for some months before surgery, I thought my constant pain was due to sciatica. Instead, like you, I had bone-on-bone condition on my right hip.

I've written extensively about it on Medium--before and after the surgery--and received lots of helpful and supportive feedback.

My very best wishes to you, congrats on losing the weight and, yep, the cabbage soup recipe is an old one, but still very good. I've made that soup myself.

At 68, I started a new chapter in my life: I moved to France. Alone. It turned out to be quite the page-turner. Still is — even when age insists on a part.
