I love this piece--living near Beziers and often venturing south or into Spain--I know this area quite well. Unfortunately, only by car. With relatively new bionic hip and knee, I was cheered by your description of taking the hike, bad knees and all. Probably too much for me, but it sounds lovely and your writing is superb.
