I think it's a combination of all these things, Susie--although, honestly, I've never been bored on Medium. We've both written back and forth on this, I feel there are a lot more benefits to Medium than just earnings, but I still don't discount them entirely. When, with no warning/explanation or apparent reason, my earnings in just one month drop by more than 50%, while output/reads/ followers increase, it's hard to maintain my enthusiasm.
