I think your father is fortunate that you are willing to help him, but I think that at 87 his views are probably set in and unlikely to change.

Perhaps it will ultimately be more important for you to come to some sort of peace with the flawed (as we all are) man who also has many good qualities.

I admire you for wanting to tell his story, even if parts of it are abhorrent to you.
