I’m British, lived in States for much of my life, then moved to France where I’ve lived for 11 years. I relate to much of what you say in your piece and, as much as I love France, often yearn for American food, overly sweet things like Little Debbie cakes. Mostly though I miss Mexican food. Definitely a mix of cultures.
