I’m Seeing Red and It Has Nothing to Do With Poppies

Obviously, Donald Trump didn’t rape E. Jean Carroll, she was too old and too ugly.

I f you haven’t read the coverage, E. Jean Carroll, a former Elle magazine advice columnist, told a Manhattan federal court that in 1995 or 1996, a chance meeting with Donald Trump at Bergdorf Goodman, a department store in New York, suddenly turned into sexual violence.

According to her court complaint, Trump ushered her to a fitting room after they joked about trying on a bodysuit, and then he pinned her against the wall and forced himself on her as she tried to break free.

She said she ultimately kneed him away and ran out of the store. Two of Carroll’s friends said she told them about the alleged attack soon afterwards. She never informed the police or anyone else until she recounted the story in a 2019 memoir and magazine excerpt. ~ PBS

Trump’s rebuttal?

First, listen to him talk about women to television personality Billy Bush of Access Hollywood in 2016:

“You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it.”

At 68, I started a new chapter in my life: I moved to France. Alone. It turned out to be quite the page-turner. Still is — even when age insists on a part.
