Interesting story, Kit. I knew nothing of this. Growing up as an asthmatic in England, I was sent for one term to an 'open air school' with other asthmatic kids. Amazingly, a few also had TB. The school did nothing for my asthma, I hated it and ran away several times. Amazing how primitive the ideas of the not so distance past seem today.
