It’s frustrating to be around people who talk, but don’t listen or ask questions. My mum was like that and I eventually stopped even trying to tell her anything.
I think though it was very courageous of you to write this— it’s not easy to hear home truths about ourselves, much less to publicly admit to them.
But it made for an interesting story.
