I've written thought out responses to a few of the top writers, but have never once received a reply. At some point, it feels quite pointless when there is absolutely no acknowledgement. I have enough of that when pitching agents and editors and never hearing back.

If 'top' writers on Medium can't be bothered to respond, then I really have better things to do than to comment on their stories. Lesson sadly learned.
