Just before I wrote my response, I checked the date you wrote this . . .you've probably heard nothing at this point. I hope when the response finally arrives it's positive.
I've been through the things you describe so many times, I've lost count. I spent most of last year revising a book for which I'd received a detailed revise and resubmit request. 'Just fix these things, and send it back, we love it.'
Right.
"Sorry, after careful reflection, etc.'
It gets so damn discouraging, doesn't it? You'd rather people not ask how the queries are going . . .I loathe questions about how my book is going.
Sometimes, much of the time, I even wonder why I write. A strong masochistic strain, I think.
