Living in France, I'm less aware of the haves and have nots. Possibly, I'd be more aware if I lived in Paris--in a village it's not something I think much about.

I hate words like 'blessed.' To me they smack of religious hypocrisy . . . I could start a rant about that, but I won't.

Thanks for a thought provoking article. May I say, ahem, that I do have gorgeous hair. I was born with it, I do absolutely nothing when I get out of bed in the morning, but just toss it around --et voila. Gorgeous, just like the rest of me. What can I say? I'm blessed.
