Love the horses tied up outside, patiently waiting. Except for that, it sounds a bit like Friday night in a French village. One of the things that often strikes me here and also reading your stories about Columbia is that there is little (that I know of) remotely similar in the States--no chain restaurants, commercial interests--just a communal gathering, people getting together.
