Many thanks for a beautiful and poignant piece of writing, Carolyn and for sharing your thoughts. It's difficult to strike a balance between the need for solitude and a yearning for connection and companionship. I thought it was impossible, but, I found it in my seventies. I hope you do too, but perhaps a little sooner.
