Michael, Thank-you for this. I honestly do realise there are faults in both sides and blame enough to go around. You wrote what I’ve hoped to read, a balanced (although I don’t agree with all you’ve said!) outline of your views. I appreciate that. But I’m now exhausted by the whole topic. At first it felt cathartic, something I needed to express. No I’m ready to start back on quirky pieces about French village life. À votre santé.
