Oui, all the things you mentioned and more. . . although not so much the healthy eating, or at least what I've observed here in the south which gives lie to the book, French Women Don't Get Fat. They do . . . and it's not from living on vegetables.

I've lived in France for nine years and am still learning the quirks and eccentricities--but that's part of life here. I love it.
