Right-Wing Politicians, Pundits & Publications Are Making Joe Biden’s Age An Issue
But as they pounce on Biden’s gaffes, they ignore those of his predecessor.
Joe Biden has given the right-wing media the gift that keeps on giving. They chortle over the ‘Sleepy Joe’ jokes, document his every gaffe and stumble while forecasting the doom that will surely befall America if Biden (or Kamala) remains in the White House.
Biden was elected to the Senate in 1972 and has been in politics ever since. His political career is littered with gaffes and missteps.
“I’m a gaffe machine,” he said during a presidential run in 2018, “But my God what a wonderful thing compared to a guy who can’t tell the truth.” He didn’t name names, it wasn’t necessary. Guardian
Google “Biden’s gaffes” and you’ll find no shortage of foot-in-mouth, cringeworthy and awkward moments over the years — but he’s been consistently re-elected despite the gaffes. Except now he’s 80 and the right-wing pearl clutchers insist he’s too old.
