Thanks, Sara. It's always a great topic of conversation in the ex-pat crowd to talk about the food you miss and can't get where you're living now. There are loads of Brits in this area and, aside from the relative ease of returning to the UK to buy things like Marmite and Yorkshire tea, there are quite a few British run services that sell most of the stuff people miss. Unfortunately, it's not the same for Americans and visits back and forth are more difficult, especially now. So I can hardly wait to for my Little Debbie fix, plus my daughter is also bring little tins of chopped green chiles, the mild kind, that I can't find here either. And she's bringing all the ingredients for a Mexican dinner. Some good eating in store!.

At 68, I started a new chapter in my life: I moved to France. Alone. It turned out to be quite the page-turner. Still is — even when age insists on a part.
