This is such a terrific story, Sharon. I'm 78 and have written a few stories about my fear of falling, a bout with depression while visiting the States because, almost for the first time, I started feeling old and concerned that sciatic and age was limiting my mobility. Your story would have been just what I needed to read. The ability to walk, to be mobile, increases in value as age slows us down.

At 68, I started a new chapter in my life: I moved to France. Alone. It turned out to be quite the page-turner. Still is — even when age insists on a part.
