Very relatable. I've lived in France for nine years and recognise what you write about the exhaustion of speaking a foreign language. Sometimes in social situations that go on a bit too long, by the end of the evening, I'm almost unable to utter the simplest sentence in French. My brain just rebels. Still, I love living here and think moving to France was one of my best decisions.
